Conde

Abdoulaye Conde is an electronic engineer with more than five years of experience in project engineering, implementation, and commissioning in Africa. He focuses on electrical protection, supervisory control, and data acquisition (SCADA) configuration and commissioning and capacity strengthening. He possesses a combination of technical, economic, environmental, and social skills. He also has experience in energy access, telecommunications, and productive uses of energy for various target markets, including households, enterprises, and social institutions. He worked on a major Organisation pour la Mise en Valeur du fleuve Gambie (OMVG) energy project as a commissioning engineer for IBS Group/Siemens in Guinea, Gambia, Senegal, and Guinea-Bissau. Additionally, he has traveled to Niamey in Niger to train NIGELEC engineers on protection relays and SCADA system protocol communication.

Conde, Chief of Party for the Health Electrification and Telecommunications Alliance (HETA) project in Guinea, is responsible for ensuring the effective implementation of the project and providing general support to HETA activities across the region. He represents the HETA project in the country and coordinates efforts to promote collaboration among key stakeholders, including national, state, and local governments, private sector partners, other implementing partners, and donor agencies. He ensures the project achieves results, including deliverables and targets, effectively. In addition, he serves as the social and environmental safeguards focal point.

Before joining HETA, Conde worked on several projects in the West Africa region, including OMVG Energy as a commissioning engineer for protection relays and the SCADA system. In this role, he focused on energy exchange among Guinea, Senegal, Gambia, and Guinea-Bissau. He also worked as a protection and SCADA system engineer on the Organisation pour la Mise en Valeur du fleuve Sénégal Energy Project, focusing on energy exchange between Mali (Bamako) and Senegal.
