With Win, Abt Global Extends Support for USACE Navigation Data Mission

Rockville, Md. — Abt Global has been awarded a seat on the $49 million U.S. Army Corps of Engineers' (USACE) Navigation and Civil Works Data Analysis and System Support contract, a multiple-award indefinite-delivery/indefinite-quantity vehicle. The work will support USACE’s Institute for Water Resources (IWR), which manages critical data systems used across the Corps’ navigation mission.

As a trusted partner through previous vehicles, Abt will help USACE operate, maintain, and modernize the data systems and applications that keep the nation's waterways safe, efficient, and sustainable. The award builds on Abt’s 15 years of support to IWR, which includes database and API development, cloud migration, user experience modernization, predictive analytics, and geospatial data integration. Our work supports systems such as the Lock Performance Monitoring System (LPMS), the Dredging Information System (DIS), and the Transportation Operations and Waterborne Statistics (TOWS) system. (Here’s an impact story about our TOWS work).

"Winning this contract reflects the trust USACE has placed in Abt to bring deep data expertise and hands-on delivery experience to the systems that support the nation's navigation systems," said Joe Donahue, Vice President, Environment at Abt Global. "We understand where Navigation and Civil Works Decision Support Center systems have been and where they need to go next. We're looking forward to helping USACE modernize its data infrastructure and make faster, more informed decisions for the Civil Works Program."

Under the new vehicle, Abt will continue delivering environmental expertise, data analytics, digital solutions, and systems modernization capabilities to support IWR and the Corps’ broader civil works mission.
