Nicole Keane, MSN, RN, CPHQ has an extensive clinical and research background in healthcare quality improvement, measure development, team-building and formative evaluation in post-acute and primary care settings. Her focus is providing technical assistance to healthcare systems and clinicians to drive quality improvement through learning and implementing the skills of measure development, implementation, benchmarking, analysis, and report writing.

Philippa Venning has more than 25 years of experience working in international development across the Asia Pacific for government, the private sector, multilateral organisations and NGOs.

Dr. Sandra Jo Wilson is a social science researcher with more than 25 years of experience designing and conducting rigorous research, systematic reviews, and meta-analyses across education, workforce development, and human services. 

Lauren Pittenger comes to Abt with more than 20 years of experience working in or as a consultant to federal government agencies. She has strong grounding in research and research-based consulting to government clients. She also has extensive experience leading and growing business, managing technical and scientific projects, and coaching and supporting account teams. She has served as a director at Guidehouse, scientific program manager at Booz Allen Hamilton, and lab manager at the U.S. Department of Agriculture. She has worked with the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC), Food and Drug Administration (FDA), the Canadian Public Health Laboratory Network, the Gates Foundation and the Association of Public Health Laboratories.

James Gilling, regional vice president, East Asia and Pacific, has almost 40 years of experience in social and economic development in low- and middle-income countries. He has overseen Australian aid programs worth hundreds of millions of dollars and managed large teams of Australian and overseas staff, including as head of the Australian aid program in Indonesia. James has worked for United Kingdom (UK) and Papua New Guinea governments as an agricultural economist. He has also worked as a consultant economist with Oxford Policy Management in the UK and was an economic analyst with the Office of National Assessments in Australia.

Robin Koralek is a seasoned evaluator and project director with over 30 years of experience in evaluating federal and state social welfare programs. Her expertise spans areas such as food assistance, employment and training cash assistance, and barriers to employment, including for those recovering from substance use disorders. She has worked with various governmental and non-profit organizations, focusing on program design, implementation, and outcomes.

Eric Reading leads major initiatives at the enterprise level for Abt Global, particularly in areas of strategic priority including digital transformation. He previously led Abt Global’s International Development Division, the largest division of the firm.

TJ Shumard is a senior business development executive with two decades of experience advancing priorities for the Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services (CMS) and state Medicaid priorities. He specializes in pipeline development, capture strategy, and digital modernization across Medicare and Medicaid. Shumard brings deep knowledge of federal procurement, CMS data platforms, and program oversight, with a strong record of shaping complex federal opportunities.

Melanie Metropolit is a public health strategist with more than 20 years of experience across federal health, research, and international development initiatives.

Jeffrey (Jeff) Leone is a senior growth leader with more than 20 years of experience leading growth teams and managing complex business development functions such as capture, bids and proposals, market intelligence and competitive assessment, pipeline development, and sales analytics.  Leone’s experience cuts across a range of U.S. domestic and international development markets at Abt and at large, global companies.
