Bio

Melanie Metropolit is a public health strategist with more than 20 years of experience across federal health, research, and international development initiatives. She specializes in digital modernization, public health programs, and research portfolios. Metropolit has supported federal agencies including the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services (HHS), Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC), Advanced Research Projects Agency for Health (ARPA-H), National Institutes of Health (NIH), U.S. Food and Drug Administration (FDA), Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services (CMS), Administration for Strategic Preparedness and Response (ASPR), U.S. Agency for International Development (USAID), and the U.S. Department of State. She specializes in building public-private partnerships and aligning technical solutions with agency priorities to support measurable growth and mission outcomes.

Metropolit leads growth strategy for Abt’s public health work with the CDC, FDA, NIH, ARPA-H and more. She connects agency priorities with Abt’s digital, research, technical assistance, and evaluation expertise. Her work strengthens stakeholder relationships, shapes practical approaches, and builds partnerships that help federal health agencies deliver stronger programs.

Metropolit previously led growth strategy, capture, and partnerships across global health and civilian markets. Most recently at Aveshka, she developed strategic partnerships across public health, emergency preparedness, digital modernization, and artificial intelligence domains.

She has supported large-scale federal health initiatives, advanced humanitarian and international development programs, and co-founded a community organization. In her previous roles, she spearheaded community-centered programs that expanded access to clinical trials, healthcare, and social services.
