Our 2025 Mission Impact Report
Letter from Our CEO

In 1965, Clark Abt set out to build a company grounded in evidence, driven by mission, and serious about solving hard problems. For 60 years, that vision has anchored what we do.
We’ve adapted across time—through progress and pivots, policy shifts and a pandemic—but why we do this work will never change. We show up because we believe in the power of practical solutions to improve people’s lives worldwide.
Our Mission Impact Reports honor the changes we influence around the world. We don’t do it alone. These achievements come from strong partnerships with our clients, partners, and communities across the U.S. and in dozens of countries. Together, we make a difference.
Whether working with farmers, health workers, housing leaders, or national policymakers, we lead with resilience and stay focused on results. In the U.S., we streamlined systems that help farmers access $6.4 billion in capital and conservation resources. In Egypt and Papua New Guinea, we helped smallholders increase productivity and forge new commercial partnerships.
We’ve provided evidence to support health care delivery transformations for Medicare. We supported a statewide housing plan in Wyoming grounded in local priorities and rural character. We helped the UK government shape foreign aid in Nepal through an adaptive, integrated strategy. In Mozambique, we sustained six years of HIV progress, with twice as many people on treatment, while transitioning operational leadership to the national government. We supported EPA’s final rules that keep drinking water safe, delivering the data and analysis now protecting more than 100 million Americans.
And we know that no system matters if it can’t be sustained. That’s why we keep investing in Abt—modernizing how we work, embracing technology not for shortcuts, but as lasting investments. Because smarter tools, used wisely, help us move faster for the people who need us.
Through global shifts, budget cuts, and generational change, this is how we've remained driven and mission-aligned. Sixty years in, our momentum comes from the same place it always has: a deep belief in what’s possible—and a team that keeps proving it.
All the best,
