Association of Maternal and Child Health Problems (AMCHP) Annual Meeting

Abt is Solving Maternal and Child Health Gaps at Scale

Our experts are leading a national conversation on advancing maternal and child health in rural communities at the AMCHP Annual Conference. Our session, Rural Maternal and Child Health Transformation: A Cross-State Conversation, will bring together state and local leaders to explore how new federal investments—particularly the CMS Rural Health Transformation Program—can drive sustainable, system-wide change.

Rural communities face persistent challenges, including limited access to care, workforce shortages, and structural barriers. This session creates space for cross-state learning and collaboration, focusing on innovative care models, workforce strategies, digital health solutions, and braided funding approaches that can strengthen rural maternal and child health systems. Participants will share promising practices, identify key systems levers, and explore how success can be measured in both health outcomes and long-term infrastructure building.
