Sebastian Sabogal

Head of Business Development, Abt Australia

Bio

Sebastian has held various executive and senior leadership level roles with diverse organisations implementing a wide range of international development and international education programs. He has over 15 years’ experience engaging with partners and clients in international development across business development and program implementation including Australia’s Department of Foreign Affairs and Trade (DFAT), New Zealand’s Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Trade and the Asian Development Bank in the Asia-Pacific region.

As Head of Business Development at Abt Global Australia, Sebastian leads business development strategy and activity including market research and analysis, pipeline and opportunity management, partnerships development, and proposal preparation, writing and budgeting. Prior to joining Abt, Sebastian worked with Palladium leading business development pursuits and acting as contractor representative and project director on various DFAT-funded programs across the Pacific, Asia and Africa. He also led business development and marketing in an executive management capacity at Scope Global with a major focus on workforce and skills development, capacity building and scholarships programs.

Prior to working in development, Sebastian held various business-to-business sales and client engagement roles in various markets, in Europe.
