Senior Manager, Marketing & Communications

Lindsey Freeze has worked in external affairs for nearly 20 years, leading brand, editorial, and advocacy strategies for global development organizations. She has produced multimedia coverage of health barriers and innovations in more than 30 countries. Her work with photojournalists, filmmakers, and issue experts has won awards and led to coverage in such news outlets as The New York Times, The Guardian, NPR, the BBC, The Telegraph, Devex, and other media worldwide.

As senior manager of Abt’s editorial services and content team, Freeze works to showcase the company’s global expertise and clients’ far-reaching impact through news, perspectives, external publications, and media relations. This team is the primary resource for journalists seeking to connect with Abt subject matter experts, research, data, and insights.

Previously, Freeze was director of marketing and communications for a global NGO scaling treatment for a treatable birth defect and leading congenital cause of disability worldwide. Her team repositioned the single-issue organization to align with broader global health policy and funding priorities and reimagined brand storytelling to diversify support. Before that, she managed brand and creative services, multimedia, and digital content at IntraHealth International. She began her career coordinating state outreach for a U.S. presidential campaign, and in public relations covering food insecurity, poverty, emergency-preparedness and disaster-response in broadcast and print media for a North Carolina human service agency.
