Sarah Dunn, an experienced international developme nt leader, is Managing Director of Abt Britain. She is responsible for driving the UK growth strategy as well as leading and mentoring our UK home office and Program teams to deliver against Abt’s mission. Dunn spent nearly two decades as a senior executive with the Department for International Development (now Foreign, Commonwealth & Development Office), where her final role in 2014 was country director for DFID Southern Africa/South Africa. While at DFID, she worked across Africa, the Middle East and Caribbean and held several other executive and strategic advisory positions, including head of trade policy.

He came to Abt from Booz Allen Hamilton, where he led the Fortune 500 company’s rebrand as their first Director of Brand and served as a Senior Communications Advisor for leaders in the Federal Government where he oversaw brand strategy, market research, and creative activation in defense, homeland security, intelligence, and finance.

Lauren Pittenger

Lauren Pittenger comes to Abt with more than 20 years of experience working in or as a consultant to federal government agencies. She has strong grounding in research and research-based consulting to government clients. She also has extensive experience leading and growing business, managing technical and scientific projects, and coaching and supporting account teams. She has served as a director at Guidehouse, scientific program manager at Booz Allen Hamilton, and lab manager at the U.S. Department of Agriculture. She has worked with the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC), Food and Drug Administration (FDA), the Canadian Public Health Laboratory Network, the Gates Foundation and the Association of Public Health Laboratories.

She has led global teams at firms such as Google Cloud and Unisys and developed winning proposals in education and advanced IT solutions. Courard’s innovative approaches include implementation of proposal tools, platforms, and systems that could be used enterprise wide.

D. Matthew Eby

Matthew Eby has over 20 years of leadership experience in supporting life science research and consulting for military, federal public health, and international agencies. His diverse career spans basic and applied research on environmental bioremediation, designing nanomaterials to combat antimicrobial resistance, and protecting our nation against bioterrorism. He also led federal and international agencies in modernizing public health systems and pandemic response efforts. Clients have included the Air Force, Navy, Army, Defense Advanced Research Projects Agency, Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC), Food and Drug Administration, National Institutes of Health, and United Arab Emirates.
