Madison Area Technical College Patient Care Pathway Program: Implementation and Early Impact Report

This report describes the implementation and early impacts of the Patient Care Pathway program operated by Madison College in Wisconsin. The Patient Care Pathway program packaged accelerated basic skills instruction with credit-bearing courses. The one-semester academies offered low-skilled students an accelerated pathway into one-year healthcare diploma or two-year healthcare degree programs. Madison College also offered proactive advising  to help students navigate the college setting and enter their desired educational program.
