CMS Crushing Fraud Chili Cookoff Showcase 2025

Abt has the secret sauce to crush CMS fraud.

Abt has been selected as one of 10 national finalists in the Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services’ (CMS) Crushing Fraud Chili Cook-Off, a high-stakes innovation challenge that drew more than 250 entries from across the country. The competition calls for explainable AI models that help CMS detect and prevent fraud, waste, and abuse (FWA) in the Medicare Fee-for-Service program.

Our recipe for success isn’t just code. Abt’s approach combines AI-powered analytics, secure, scalable data integration, and decades of CMS domain expertise. It’s a proven blend that delivers practical, actionable results refined through years of supporting CMS efforts to protect taxpayer dollars and improve program integrity.

As a finalist, our team is applying its model to real Medicare claims data and developing policy recommendations that are both data-driven and ready for scale.

Meet our chefs, explore the history of our CMS work, and stay tuned for future information on our FWA solution!
