2026 Ohio Deflection Association Summit

Data-driven deflection: What’s working, what’s next

At the 2026 Ohio Deflection Association Summit, Abt’s Allison Dymnicki, PhD, joins partners from Cordata and Cabell County EMS to explore a critical question: What’s working in deflection—and why?

Join this timely conversation on how data and technology are helping communities chart evidence-informed responses to substance use. Grounded in real-world implementation, this session highlights practical strategies for:

  • Clarifying your core messages and audience
  • Visualizing outcomes to engage stakeholders and attract funding
  • Learning what messages resonate with your audiences to improve future data-driven work.

Dr. Dymnicki leads Abt’s work on the Bureau of Justice Assistance (BJA) Comprehensive Opioid, Stimulant, and Substance Use Program (COSSUP) Data and Evaluation TTA Center. Her team helps practitioners across the country apply data and continuous learning to improve outcomes at every stage of the deflection process.
