Heck

Kristin Heck, JD, MBA, has more than 10 years of experience managing and directing technical teams in the development of digital solutions. Ms. Heck contributes her technical expertise to product development, coordinating the development of new technology solutions with IT engineers, developers, and cloud architects, and ensuring timely solution delivery. In addition, she often works closely with program leadership to set key solution objectives, manage the development and product roadmap, analyze customer feedback, and prioritize feature development.

Ms. Heck plays a vital and dynamic role within the Digital and Data Services team, leveraging her expertise to drive innovation and success. She manages the digital global team, which comprises both skilled digital strategists, who craft bespoke solutions for clients such as the U.S. Agency for International Development (USAID), the Australian Department of Foreign Affairs and Trade (DFAT), and the U.K. Foreign, Commonwealth and Development Office (FCDO), and adept digital technologists, who provide project support to these clients. Her team is strategically dispersed, with regional talent hubs in Nairobi, Kenya, and Dushanbe, Tajikistan.

In addition to her global role, Ms. Heck also focuses on managing the creation of internal digital solutions. Through this position she collaborates closely with the Vice President of Data Science & Digital Innovation and project teams to envision digital solutions for customers’ unique needs. Noteworthy service offerings include Abt’s Monitoring and Evaluation Ecosystem (AMEE) and the Virtual Omnichannel Integrated Citizen Engagement (VOICE) tool.

For Abt’s Nursing Home Compare project, Ms. Heck managed a technical team that collected first-hand time and motion studies data, developed simulation models, analyzed model results, and reported findings to Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services (CMS) for use in determining minimum staffing thresholds at nursing homes. She served as both the technical lead and project manager, interfacing with the CMS client directly. She performed similar roles during her time at IBM prior to joining Abt Global.
