Didar Ali Didar is technical advisor for monitoring, evaluation, research, and learning (MERL) in Abt’s International Technical Practice (ITP). He has more than 10 years of experience in MERL, project design, and management in the areas of agriculture, food security, economic inclusion, civil society, governance, health, and education. He also has experience in women’s rights advocacy, including designing and implementing advocacy plans and organizing national and international events.

Andrew Alderdice has more than 35 years of experience working in the health and human services sectors in Australia, New Zealand and the Pacific and is currently leading Abt Global’s domestic programs and consultancy practice in Australia.Andrew has worked in a variety of roles, including as a consultant, executive manager and clinician. He has more than 25 years of experience in executive-level positions, including nearly nine years as director of a private management consulting business in Australia. He served as director of the Australian Government-funded health and HIV program in Papua New Guinea. Andrew has been the director of strategy for a regional health service, chief executive officer of a health and aged-care complex and director of a regional community health service.

Francesca Lawe-Davies is a senior development specialist with more than 18 years of experience in government, non-government, private sector, and multilateral development organisations. She has broad experience leading teams in complex development programs across Southeast Asia and the Pacific. Francesca has worked with government and civil society leaders at all levels, providing strategic and technical advice and guiding programmatic support on education policy and delivery, decentralisation, village governance, peacebuilding, and gender-based violence prevention and response services.

Abt leads the Australian Government supported Kokoda Initiative to train healthcare providers to assess people with disabilities in Papua New Guinea’s Kokoda Track region communities.

Abt developed an Online Review Tool to help screen studies, conduct systematic evidence reviews, and provide a public website to disseminate review findings.

Abt evaluated the delivery and impact of the MA ECSO initiative which helps early education leaders and educators improve the quality of their practice.

The Abt-managed Fiji Program Support Platform implements a portfolio of Australian Government-funded development programs, in alignment with Fiji's national priorities and the Australia-Fiji Vuvale Partnership.

The Partnerships for Improving Education (PIE) program works with school leaders, teachers, parents, government officials and communities to: encourage more children to enrol and stay in school, improve teachers’ professional development practices, and sustain education policy change to enhance teaching quality.
